Simulating reality – saving future costs
When the Danish company Axellus ran out of storage space, they acquired a second warehouse that needed to be designed according to their needs. By launching a C-WIS project in the planning process, they were able to identify the optimal solution – while saving costs and improving efficiency.
One of the highly relevant aspects that Axellus discovered in the C-WIS project was the fact that their warehouse needed two additional doors as intersections between the three 2.200 m2 cells. Without these, the warehouse would have experienced large amounts of congestions and Bottlenecks because of long pick rounds and unsuitable placing of the high runners.
